Semi-permanent makeup and microblading can be removed using a laser.

When semi-permanent makeup or microblading goes wrong, the consequences can be dire. The reasons for wanting removal or correction of semi-permanent makeup or microblading can vary from bad work to simply not feeling comfortable with the results.
The ink used in facial tattoos is usually cosmetic ink, which is semi-permanent. While many people assume that this will be easier to remove than the ink used
in body tattoos, this isn’t actually the case and the results can vary.
Every permanent makeup or microblading removal case is different and we will be able to assess you and give you an idea of what needs to be done and what sort of time frame it will take to.
There is no standard treatment time. On average it takes 20-30 mins, however it depends on the size and the depth of the tattoo.
DURING treatment, you will experience the sensation of a hot “flick” on the area of the skin being treated. Following this, there may be some mild stinging and the area may swell slightly – these symptoms can last for several hours after treatment. Laser removal for eyebrow tattoos is a safe procedure, as long as you make sure you choose a highly experienced practitioner, who will consult with you before your treatment and answer any questions you may have.
Semi-permanent makeup and microblading removal is a well established and safe procedure if it is performed by professionals with the very latest equipment.
It depends on your tattoo:
on the amount of pigment (how many permanent makeup/correction procedures were there);
the pigment used by the master;
pigment depth;
skin quality;
individual characteristics of the client’s body (e.g. smoking, alcohol);
etc. Sometimes 2 procedures are enough. Sometime it can take 5-6 procedures. It is impossible to determine the number of sessions, usually after 1-2 sessions the dynamics is visible, and then it is already possible to assume the required number of sessions.
On average every 6-8 weeks. However, it also depends on the clients skin.
PRE-TREATMENT CARE?
Do not expose skin to UV (sun exposure or the use of tanning beds) or self-tan for at least 4 weeks before treatments.
Do not use bleaching creams, numbness creams or perfumed products (e.g. aromatherapy oils, face and body creams, shaving creams) for 24 – 48 hrs before treatment sessions.
Avoid swimming in strongly chlorinated water for 24 – 48 hrs before treatment sessions.
Avoid wearing tight clothing when attending treatment sessions.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Avoid exfoliating, microdermabrasion or chemical peels 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.
Hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water and protect the skin from sun exposure with suitable clothing and use of sunblock SPF 30+ before the first treatment and between subsequent treatment sessions but do NOT use sun-blocking creams within 24hrs of scheduled treatments.
NB: Hot and humid weather conditions can aggravate the skin in the period immediately before treatment.
POST-TREATMENT CARE?
A dry sterile should be placed over the treated area so your skin should be protected.
We recommend using aloe vera gel for the night to relieve the ‘’sunburn’’ feeling of the treated area.
If you feel itchiness, you can also apply aloe vera at any time.
Keep the treated area clean, dry and protected.
Do not expose skin to UV (sun exposure or the use of tanning beds) or self-tan for at least 4 weeks.
Do not pick or scratch the treated area.
Avoid rough handling of the area treated.
Avoid wearing restrictive or tight clothes especially in the treated area.
For a while, you may avoid using perfume or body lotions, creams on the treated area.
Keep the treated area clean and dry for 1-2 weeks.
Avoid very hot baths/showers/steam baths/sauna for at least 2 weeks.
Avoid swimming in strongly chlorinated water for at least 2 weeks.
Hydrate the body by drinking plenty of water.

Lasers, a common method of tattoo removal work by targeting the ink with pulses of highly concentrated light. These pulses break the ink into tiny fragments. The body then digested the fragmented ink particles. Removing a tattoo with a laser requires many treatments. A topical anesthetic cream is usually applied to the skin first to alleviate mild discomfort associated with the treatment. Although it is difficult to completely remove all remnants of the tattoo, patients who complete a series of treatments can expect to have an area of skin that was once covered by brightly colored attention-grabbing designs to a patch of skin that no longer catches the eye of the casual observer.
Tattoos are of two main types: the Indian ink, amateur tattoo or the multi-colored, professional tattoo. Single-color tattoos usually respond best to laser tattoo removal. Multi-colored, professional tattoos are much more difficult to eradicate completely. Black, blue, red, orange and brown colours in the tattoo respond best to treatment, but yellow, white pigment can be more difficult. However, you can rest assured that regardless of the tattoo colour we have the most suitable laser for you.
Older lasers had a poor reputation for causing scarring because they overheated the skin around the tattoo site. Modern lasers have eliminated this problem.
Tattoo removal conducted at our Moda Donna Beauty Clinic is performed using an Nd: YAG laser, which causes less heating in the surrounding skin tissue and
which therefore carries a much lower risk of scarring.
Please note that even with the best laser equipment, green, yellow and orange pigments are often resistant to treatment and so we may not be able to completely remove your tattoo if it is rich in these pigments.
About the master:

Yan works with the best Nd: YAG Q-switch laser that can treat 90 – 95% of tattoos.
There is no standard tattoo, so there is no standard treatment time, but as a rule, the simpler the tattoo, the fewer treatments will be required.
The pain level of laser tattoo removal varies from person to person, from a slight stinging sensation to a more uncomfortable burning. However, tattoo removal is somewhat less painful than having the original tattoo.
You might get redness or slight swelling straights after the procedure. After an hour, all these symptoms will be gone. There will be no hematomas, crusts, bruises or scars. High-quality equipment makes it possible to remove the tattoo without damaging the skin.
Laser tattoo removal is a well established and safe procedure if it is performed by professionals with the very latest equipment.
Generally, it is best to wait 4-6 weeks between treatments. There is no advantage in scheduling your treatments closer together even if you do not see immediate results. The laser only targets hair in the growth phase. The next growth phase is generally in 4-6 weeks.
Let’s get straight to the point: the laser affects the pigment, not the hair follicles. This is physics, the laser beam interacts with a particle of pigment. ⠀ A tattoo removal laser is a completely different laser than the one you use for hair removal. ⠀ Moreover, often after exposure to such type of laser, hair growth intensifies. Vascular Removal is a fast and gentle treatment solution for removing rosacea and visible blood vessels on the face. A concentrated beam of light energy is directed at the vein. The light penetrates below the skin surface and the heat from the laser causes the blood in the tiny vessels to coagulate. The walls of the vein then collapse, causing blood flow to stop and over the next few weeks, the vein is absorbed by the body and disappears. This is a Fantastic non-invasive treatment for eliminating broken capillaries.
This treatment is suitable for both men and women of various ages and skin types.
This treatment should cause little-no discomfort. Most guests describe the sensation like a hot pinprick.
Depending on your skin type (and the lesion being treated) some redness and swelling may be visible, but will usually subside around 48 hours after treatment. lesions may appear darker around 5-7 days later. Pigmented lesions are hypermelanocytic areas typically induced by sun exposure, the natural aging process or congenital factors. Pigmented lesions vary widely in size, shape, and depth. They can be either raised or flat and are usually a cosmetic rather than a medical concern. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) which targets melanin is effective in treating benign lesions and clearing them.
The IPL emits light which turns into heat when it comes into contact with the skin. The IPL is attracted to pigment so therefore is attracted to the melanin marks on the skin such as sunspots, freckles, age spots, and general sun damage. The IPL heat absorbs into the melanin mark which breaks down the melanin. It will go darker immediately then lighten and flake away. The Intense Pulsed Light system produces a light that eliminates flaws without damaging the surrounding skin.
The number of treatments will depend on the type and size of the pigmented lesion but typically 1 to 3 sessions are required at 4-6 week intervals.
Patients should avoid tanning on the treatment area roughly one month ahead of treatment to avoid excessive light absorption in the skin. Immediately after the treatment, the skin is particularly sensitive to UV light and strong sunlight should be avoided for at least 2 weeks. High factor sun lotions can be used.

Laser hair removal is a great alternative to traditional methods of hair removal such as shaving, waxing, tweezing and depilatories. It is a gentle, safe and effective way to permanently reduce unwanted hair on the face and body of men and women.
Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, and other areas.
Speed. Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time.
The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in less than a minute, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour.
Predictability. Ninety percent of patients have hair loss after an average of six to ten sessions.
Usually in 8 sessions you get up to 80% reduction in hair growth, it mainly depends on the treated area.
Laser hair removal can be performed on any part of the body, including the face. Laser hair removal is also suitable for the sensitive deep bikini area. Hair removal in this way is a procedure that is carried out in a course until the desired result is obtained, namely, the complete cessation of unwanted hair growth. Laser hair removal saves the total time women spend on getting rid of hair in other ways. Usually, a minimum of 8 sessions are required. There may be mild discomfort during the laser hair removal procedure. This feeling is often compared to the feeling of a rubber band hitting the skin. The heat of the laser only affects the hair structure and not the entire skin like wax does, so for most clients laser is a less painful procedure, providing faster results in 1 session than wax hair removal! The more hair that is destroyed, the less pain there will be.
Moda Donna experts recommend shaving the problem area the day before or on the day of the laser hair removal procedure. The maximum hair length before laser hair removal should reach 1 mm. A smooth shave is encouraged to reduce pain.
You can also shave between sessions, but we recommend doing this as infrequently as possible. Waxing, sugaring and tweezing are strictly prohibited.
Unlike other types of lasers, the diode laser in Moda Donna Beauty Clinic is effective for epilation of hair of any color and is equally safe for both tanned and darker skin. The optimal wavelength of the device and individually selected parameters make it possible to act exclusively on the hair shaft and its follicle without damaging the surrounding tissues. This prevents the formation of burns and pigment spots. The only condition that doctors require to comply with is not to sunbathe 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the procedure. Two weeks after laser hair removal, you can already sunbathe!

Essential Oils: Oils taken from the rind of Orange, Lemon, Mandarin, Lime, and
Bergamot are highly photo-sensitising and if used in pure form, will cause skin

leave the skin 24 hours to return to normal

John’s Wort, Prescribed Retin-A: If the client has used any of these
medications for up to 1 month, they need to cease use and come back in a
month. If
the client has used any of these for over a month, then they need
to cease
use and leave any Laser treatments for 3 (three) months.
-In the
case of Retin-A (also called Retinol or Concentrated Vitamin A) or St
John’s
Wort, we are only concerned with creams that have been prescribed
by a GP,
Naturopath, or Dermatologist. Over the counter products are very
low dose and largely ineffective,
and are not considered a contraindication to treatment but client must
cease of use a week before treatment.
Medication
Many medications come with side-effects,
including those that will make your skin more photosensitive. This means that
your skin might react more negatively to change – such as laser hair removal.
If this is the case, you might want to think
of ways to get around the issue. For example, taking a break from the
problematic medication may be an option or switching to an alternative
treatment. Having a discussion with your GP will help determine the right
course of action for your needs.
Sun
tan
The sun will cause your skin to create more
melanin, which is there to protect your skin from damage. However, this can
cause your skin colour to become patchy and uneven, which isn’t the best start
for laser hair removal.
In the event of an active or severe sunburn,
the procedure cannot go ahead. You’ll be expected to allow the skin to fully
heal before returning for your treatment. You should

Laser hair removal can be especially painful
in areas of the body where there are lesions or open wounds. It’s therefore a
good idea to postpone the procedure until they’ve fully healed.
The beams can potentially slow down the
healing process and lead to additional discomfort. Many consultants will refuse
to carry out laser hair removal until the lesions have disappeared.
Herpes
& cold sores
Laser hair removal is possible once the
herpes virus is kept under control. However, bear in mind that you will be
required to make sure that prescription medication has been taken, and that the
condition is in remission before a consultation.
Herpes and cold sores are treated as contagious
skin diseases, so don’t be surprised if you’re initially turned away. Once the
problem has disappeared, you should be able to undergo the procedure.
Moles
If you have a mole, you can still undergo
laser hair removal. The beams used aren’t on the UV spectrum, so there is so
far no evidence to suggest they can change a mole and make it cancerous.
However, it is important to keep an eye on
any visual alterations that may occur. If you do see anything suspicious, make
sure you inform your GP of the treatment and have it checked as soon as
possible.
Recent
waxing/plucking
Any laser hair removal treatment requires
there to be a follicle to target. If you’ve recently plucked or waxed your
body, there won’t be any. It’s usually recommended that you wait two weeks
before attempting laser hair removal. Alternatives like shaving or depilatory
creams are great to bridge that gap between hair and laser results!

I'd like to share my experience with you today after completing the Facial course at MD. The course was spreaded into 7 weeks and I had to come once a week. Since I also study at the uni, it was perfect for me to combine the course with my studies. The academy is located in Canary Wharf near the South Quay station. I liked how easy it was to find it. The teacher and the academy manager were extremely nice and polite, I feel very grateful for everyone I have met during my course ❤

I'm having amazing results with laser hair removal from session 1 ! Everyone is very friendly but a special thank you to Greta , the therapist selected for me , makes me feel at ease in every session !I also had a voucher purchased as a gift for my mum and the clinic always do a patch test or consultation before proceeding to any type of treatment and at the consultation they mentioned my mum didn't have the skin type reccomended for the treatment I purchased so they wouldn't guarantee any results and they actually suggested not to do it and the voucher was refunded . I really appreciated the honesty . Probably other clinics would have done it anyway even if no results after!

I was studying Level 2 Facial Skincare course in a different school before. However, after the second week I have left them as they were very unprofessional and unfair. After that unpleasant experience, I was googling on where else to go and found out about Moda Donna that is perfectly located close to my house. The closest station to the academy are Crossharbour and South Quay DLR, I am living 2 stations away so great location. The manager of the academy, Kristina, has done the full training and health and safety on the first day we arrived. We have started with studying theory one the first couple of weeks and then the teacher added some practical parts where we had to perform treatments on each other (new covid-19 rule to keep the same bubble within the classroom). I really preferred it this way as everyone was at the same level, studying and we got a facial ourselves every week which was also a little bonus:)They have parking, lunch room, coffees and all the kits (+uniform) and books. We could keep everything after. My favourite wad the uniform as I am now using hot as my work clothes, another bonus.Moda Donna Beauty Academy is a very good school if you are looking for the beauty education and quality for a good price.

The best academy in London!I have started at this Academy with permanent makeup courses and after being very surprised with the level of teaching (Olga Mankovskaia is just the most wonderful teacher!) I also have booked my slots for microneedling and chemical peel masterclasses. I would really recommend Moda Donna for anyone who wants to expand their treatment lists and bring more clients in. Today I am finishing VTCT Level 2 in Facial Massage and Skincare. As a celebration surprise, the school has prepared for us some drinks and snacks and also, they have set up a little photo area where we were taking pictures with my classmates and our teacher. Mesotherapy masterclass with Flora was very very informative. So professional teacher that clearly knows a lot about beauty. It was a 1-day masterclass, however it felt much longer, considering how much we have managed to do during it! In the morning, we had theory and learned everything needed about the treatment. Later on, Flora has shown us the demo on the model. It was actually very useful (other academy I went to didn’t do it unfortunately). It was nice to see the whole procedure before practicing myself, as at least, I saw how it works and what is the technique. We practiced on latex and in the afternoon, our own models arrived. (Bonus, we didn’t have to search for models ourselves as everywhere else!). I am happy with my own performance and with Moda Donna in general. Can’t recommend them enough. I will be back for more courses.

Olga is an amazing teacher!! I did powder brows training with her in 2019 then I just returned to do a 2 day lip training course. I’ve worked in the industry for many years but was struggling with my technique and the client having pigment retention. Olga immediately corrected my errors and I have come away feeling confident going forward. It’s so important to always invest in keeping your skills up to date. When you work alone it’s easy to fall into bad habits. The venue is in a good location easy to get to.Olga is so helpful, you feel you have her complete attention and guidance. Thank you Olga xxxx

Great college with reasonable prices. Thank you to my teacher, Debbie for your kindness and support through out my studying process. I really enjoyed every lesson I have attended, it was very interesting and not waste of money at all.I dreamt of studying beauty for a long time, but I thought it takes ages, so I was scared of loosing too much time. However, I did not know there are places like moda donna where you can get the right certificate (that will be good for the insurance) in like 2 months. I recommend this beauty college.

I LOVE THIS COLLEGE!💙 Everyone is very friendly and nice, all the girls are energetic and willing to help. I liked that it was a short course but we learned all the essentials. From the first lesson we started to practice, we had half day theory and half day practice. I was very lucky to study in my group as we became very close during the course and I am happy to get new friends. I recommend you this college if you’re looking to study beauty courses. Can’t wait for my aesthetic mastreclasses as well as it’s what I always wanted to do. 💙

I have now done 2 training courses with Olga over the past 2 years and even booked in for my own treatment. I found Olga and booked with her firstly because I absolutely loved her work it’s stunning, then when you meet her in person she is just a beautiful person, so kind and knowledgeable and she absolutely knows her stuff. She shares all her years of knowledge, tips and tricks and gives you the confidence to work by yourself. What a beautiful experience, that started 2 years plus when I’ve first met Olga . I felt in love with everything she does , and decided to do Semipermanent Make Up course . There is allot I could say and all very positive. She teaches and shares her knowledge with warm heart and care for each student . I’d like to express gratitude to Moda Donna PMU and Beauty Academy and their team. Very professional at every level. My friend has recommended me that college when I have mentioned I am thinking of changing my life, as she heard good reviews about them. I never regretted of coming! I am now a qualified laser therapist with a good diploma. As much as I know, VTCT is one of the best qualifications you get. I would definitely recommend them.

I am very happy with that place, everything was perfect from the beginning until the end🥰 I am finishing my studies today, I even feel a little bit sad that that interesting journey is now behind. 🙁What I liked the most are the location (I’ve never been to Canary Wharf before 🏙, it was so exciting to travel to that business district every week), facilities, how nice and tidy it felt to be there. People who work in there are very kind-hearted and responsive❤️ Every enquiry was dealt properly. My teacher Karina was very very professional, I enjoyed studying with her 🥰

Happy with my training and my teacher. I went to another academy to do my level 2, but it was quite far for me to travel, so I found about Moda Donna and signed up for level 4. I didn’t expect anything, I just needed the certificate, but they really surprised me. Unlike other academies, they really take care of their customer service and looking after clients. The teacher actually wanted to share her knowledge and helped as much as possible so I can pass my exams successfully. I’ve also booked laser tattoo removal training, as it’s another popular treatment I can suggest to my clients. Can’t thank enough!
